Please stop whatever you’re doing and imagine, just for one minute, that your child needs a TEAM of professionals to care for them while you work a full time job and travel through gridlock traffic to and from, in order to eat, sleep, walk, talk or learn. We often complain about our kids “not listening”, or being “too entitled, or too spoiled”… and don’t realize how easy our task of parenting is, compared to that of parents who have children with special needs.
Heartbeats for Patches is a charity organization which fundraises for PATCHES PPEC and on November 1, 2024, the Annual Heartbeats for Patches Golf Tournament is taking place! Please click on the link below to sponsor, donate or contribute!
PATCHES PPEC is a nursing center for children with complex medical needs, such as:
- Cerebral Palsy
- Epilepsy
- Rare genetic disorders
- Pre and post organ transplants
- Born with AIDS
- Down Syndrome
- Terminally ill
- Recovering from complex surgeries
- Asthma and other respiratory issues
- Life threatening cardiac issues
Impressive FACTS about PATCHES:
- The center is open 12 hours/day and 5 days/week;
- The center provides free care for any child who is ineligible for MEDICAID and does not have the means to pay;
- 50.3% of the children come from single-family homes;
- 59% of children come from a level of poverty;
- No child is turned away regardless of their family ‘s ability to pay.
These children need you, need me, and need all of us. We are stronger together.
