The Cost of Inaction (in parenting)

Another academic year just ended. Summer vacation officially started.
A new academic year will begin in just 2 months, and then another, and then another.
Time flies by in a blink of an eye, and we don’t even notice it. That’s why I am asking you:
  • Are you keeping your children close?
  • Are you still your child’s go-to- person for guidance and help, or did the peers and the smartphone replace you?
  • Do you feel hopeless/ powerless when your child has a tantrum?
  • Do you lose your temper and feel ashamed later?

Exactly because time flies by so fast, parents can’t afford not to take action to improve family dynamics and the health of  these relationships.  Every family is different, but the quality of the family environment is vitally important for each and every child.

When parents come to me, the cost of inaction usually shows up as:

  • failing grades
  • skipping school
  • lying
  • phone addiction
  • chronic disconnection from the self  and others.

Time is irreversible, and hope is not enough. Take action today; learn new ways of repair and connection.

If you are not in my Conscious Parent Accelerator Program , it will be very hard to make a change on your own. Here’s what one parent said about the program:

Hi Mihaela,
I just wanted to say I’m very happy I’m taking this course now. I’m learning a lot of things I didn’t know. Although I was expecting to go straight into our children, I find that the introspection you prompted at the beginning was absolutely necessary. I’m actually surprised that after years of therapy and self improvement I still find all these emotions and unresolved conflicts in me. Somehow, the fact that it’s a course and not therapy makes me wonder if now I’ll finally be able to close those chapters in my life that are still clearly open. I can see that the tools you are giving me are for life.  I also like our small group discussions; I find there’s a lot to gain when others put into words things I may be struggling to describe, or that I thought I had overcome but someone expresses it more clearly now and I can see it under new light. I can’t wait for the rest of the course!
